Time Trek

On the Tuesday of half term we time travelled for the last time this academic year to finish off the story of Joseph that we have been looking at through the year. This time we were joined by nearly 50 children aged from reception all the way through to year 6. It was a fun afternoon of music, crafts, games and bible story, all helping each person think about why Joseph thought his God was so special and how he was able to forgive his brothers.

One of my favourite moments of the afternoon was listening to the children discussing what this story could mean to their own lives, it was hearing this that reminded me the importance of Time Trek and other events just like it!

The children discussed in groups about God being relational and all the different ways that we can interact with Him. We sent each child away with a party bag full of different things that they will enjoy but can also help them to pray in different ways. In the bags were bubbles, a memory verse, a stone, a balloon and sweets, each item helped them connect in different ways.

Speaking to a parent recently, they said that Time Trek is the highlight of their children’s half term!

We couldn’t have done it without a great team of volunteers who make it such a special afternoon for all the children involved. We are already starting to think ahead to next year. It is always on the Tuesday of half term, if you would like to come and join in the fun then do get in touch!
