Imagine your brain as a giant city with roads connecting every building. Every time you practice a skill like learning to skateboard, solving a tough maths problem, or even doing mindfulness your brain builds a stronger, faster road for that activity.

At the same time, if there’s a road you don’t use (like an old habit or a way of thinking that doesn’t help you) your brain lets it fade away. It’s like closing down a street that no one drives on.
