5 Ways to Support Phase
At Phase Hitchin, we’re passionate about supporting young people to thrive. We provide practical resources, workshops, one-to-one support and much more to help children and teenagers (and those who support them) build confidence, manage challenges, and look after their wellbeing. But we can’t do it alone! Our work relies on the care and involvement of the wider Hitchin community, and further a field, and we are so grateful!
There are lots of ways you can get involved, check them out!
1. Share
Sharing resources is an easy and effective way to support young people. You can send helpful articles, podcasts, or resources directly to friends, family, or young people you know, or post them on your social media.
On our resources page there is loads of great stuff. From breathing techniques, journaling ideas, a self-care planner to a worry workbook. You can also check out and share our podcast and blog!
By sharing you’re helping young people access practical tools, advice, and information, you’re giving them support, encouragement, and confidence to navigate challenges in their daily lives.
2. Volunteer
We couldn’t do what we do without our wonderful volunteers! Whether helping at workshops, in schools, or supporting events, volunteers play a vital role in empowering young people.
We have a variety of volunteer roles to suit everyone—whatever your skills, there’s a way you can make an impact. If you’re interested, do get in touch with us by dropping us an email and we can chat about the different volunteering opportunities available from admin, workshops to being a trustee!

3. Donate and Fundraise
There are lots of ways to get involved and give. Some people enjoy fundraising with friends, family, or colleagues, whether it’s running a sponsored event, holding a bake sale, or organising a community activity. Fundraising is not only a practical way to support Phase but also a fun way to bring people together and raise awareness about the impact Phase has.
If you’re able to give financially, it’s a great way to support the work of Phase. Donations help us continue running workshops, creating resources, and supporting young people across Hitchin in practical, relational and meaningful ways. You could also consider setting up a regular donation, which gives us the stability to plan ahead and continue offering ongoing support to those who need it most. Every contribution, whether one-off or monthly, plays a part in helping Phase create a positive, lasting impact in young people’s lives.
4. Talk with young people
One of the simplest and most effective ways to support Phase’s work is by talking with the children and young people in your life. Checking in regularly, asking open questions, and really listening helps young people feel safe to share what’s going on for them.
These everyday conversations are a vital form of early support. By noticing changes, offering reassurance, and helping young people feel understood, you’re reinforcing Phase’s wider mission of supporting wellbeing before challenges become overwhelming. Small, consistent actions, listening, encouraging, and being present, can make a lasting difference.

5. Pray
If prayer is part of your life, you can support young people through prayer. Praying for their wellbeing, resilience, and the work of Phase is a brilliant and powerful way to support Phase’ work.
