We've cracked Easter

Hey Phase blog! Happy Easter holidays!

Over the past few weeks, we've been delivering Easter Cracked workshops to year 6 students in Hitchin. It's an hour of fun, quizzes and diving into the Easter story. At the end of each session, we watch a snippet of a brilliant 'Hey-O! Stories of the Bible' video. You can watch the full version of their video here:

There have been so many encouraging stories from this year's Easter Cracked workshops. One child said he wanted to ask his parents to buy a Bible as he found the story so interesting. All the classes have asked a ton of great questions about the symbols and events of Easter as well - from the bread and wine shared at the last supper to Jesus' act of kindness of Maundy Thursday.

At the end of the session, we leave students with an Easter egg and a booklet about the Easter story. It's been great to build our connection with year 6 students across Hitchin before we see them for the final time this year in June to talk about transition to secondary school. Whats more, it's a wonderful opportunity to remind young people that whatever they believe, or whatever their background, we can all celebrate hope and new beginnings at Easter.

Thank you for reading and wishing you a wonderful Easter from all of us at Phase!
