Project Hope 2024

Fuel the Future – Empowering Our Teenagers This December

December is here, and with it comes an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people across our community. Project Hope, our annual matched giving campaign, is back – and this year, our focus is on building something incredible for our teenagers. Every pound donated in December will be doubled, giving us the chance to raise £7,500 and extend the support that’s helping our teens navigate an increasingly complex world.

Why Your Support Matters for Teens in 2024

In recent years, we’ve laid essential foundations through our work with younger children, equipping them with resilience and essential life skills. Now, we’re determined to carry this work forward into the teenage years – a time when young people face some of their most significant challenges and transitions.

The teens we work with often describe the impact of our programs as life-changing. One young participant from our small group sessions said,

“Phase’s group sessions were a breath of fresh air! They helped me replace unhelpful habits with positive ones, in a supportive and caring environment. It’s amazing what you can change when you have the right support.”

For many teens, the guidance and support they find through our programs go beyond simple advice; it’s about building a foundation they can carry forward.

Another young mentee shared,

“Phase mentoring is more than just advice—it’s a lifeline. The genuine care and understanding from my mentor have been pivotal. Knowing there’s someone I can talk to, who really listens and guides me, has been incredibly reassuring and empowering.”

These words reflect the heart of Project Hope: creating safe spaces and providing tools that help teens grow with confidence and resilience, no matter what challenges they face.

How Project Hope Donations Make a Difference

Your support of Project Hope this year means we can:

  1. Deepen Our Impact in Secondary Schools: We’re committed to strengthening our presence and expanding the depth of our work across secondary schools in our community. By increasing the impact of our programs, we can offer more targeted, comprehensive support to the students we already reach, making sure that every teenager has the tools and guidance needed to face their challenges confidently. With your help, we can make our support more accessible and effective, ensuring that no young person has to navigate life’s difficulties without the resources they deserve.
  2. Develop Workshops and Programs for Teen Resilience: From stress management to goal setting and emotional health, our programs aim to help teens build confidence, resilience, and a sense of self-worth. With more funding, we can create new workshops to meet the unique challenges faced by young people aged 11 to 18.
  3. Create More Free Resources, Videos, and Podcasts: With your support, we can expand our library of free resources – including videos, podcasts, and guides – to support young people, parents, and educators across the UK. These resources provide practical advice and valuable insights that empower teens to take charge of their well-being and help parents and teachers support them effectively. Every additional resource we produce broadens our reach, helping young people far beyond our immediate community.
  4. Offer More One-on-One Support: Many teenagers benefit immensely from one-on-one guidance. Your donations will help us provide individualized mentoring and mental health support, offering teens a safe space to express themselves and work through their personal concerns.
