On Tuesday 30th September we held a training evening for anyone involved in youth and children’s work. We run Fuel training twice a year and it grows more popular each time. Over 65 people joined us for an evening of equipping, encouraging and being inspired! The evening runs with a rotation of different 20 minute talks; topics covered included how to be creative with our communication, how to work with introverts & extroverts, dealing with bereavement, tackling questions with children, keeping our spirituality alive and how to run a residential.
We finished our evening by all coming together for a slightly longer session thinking about partnering with parents which really challenged everyone listening on how to engage parents in all that we do and some helpful tips on how to go about it.
One leading attending siad ‘Fuel Training is a great time to be refreshed, inspired and to help myself and my team think about how we can improve our work with children and young people. Plus, the snacks are great!’
