Easter Cracked
This Easter we have been continuing to build our work in primary schools with year 6. We are delivering a workshop looking at the Easter story in 7 different junior schools, which is 3 more than we did at Christmas!
It has been a great time of hearing how much they already know about Easter and challenging them to see the whole week as a journey and what it all means to us today. We especially look at the evidence that Jesus did rise again and as part of this activity they have to hunt for clues, this includes searching for Easter eggs which usually provides a bit of extra motivation! We finish the workshop looking at all the different symbols for Easter and what they mean, challenging the students to look out for them over Easter.
One teacher commented that it is an ‘interesting and well delivered workshop with a good mixture of activities’. It has been a great addition to the work we are doing with year 6 and its great getting to know the students over the year.
